Business Storytelling Photography for Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel
As a cat lover and documentary storytelling photographer, I decided to embark on a personal photography project exploring Cat Culture, visiting places where cats and people come together. The resulting photo book (which you can view below the image gallery) gives a glimpse into cat's compelling personalities and the people who enjoy their company and playful, predatory charm.
During my research online, I stumbled upon Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group, and being a cat owner myself, and someone who travels fairly frequently, I was immediately intrigued. This didn’t look like your average cat hotel, and with paw massages, meals served on bone china, and climate controlled themed suites, I knew that this was the sort of place that would suit my own pampered tabby perfectly.
I reached out to Longcroft and was invited to come and take photos at their Welwyn Garden City hotel, meet Founder Abi Purser and experience some playtime with the cats. All the hotel suites are scrupulously clean and luxurious, complete with comfy bed, climbing trees, favourite toys from home, and a view to the garden. Abi’s passion for animals and their welfare really shines through in the way she interacts with the cats, many of which she knows well from their countless repeat visits.
I wanted my photos to show the care and attention that Abi gives to the cats, as well as showcasing the high quality of the hotel and the accolades that they have received so far. Honestly, if I could spend every day shooting projects like this, it would be simply purrrrfect!
