Christmas Storytelling Photography with Magic of Foresters in Bromley
In the heart of Bromley, Kent, tucked away within a forest of pine trees, lies Magic of Foresters Christmas tree farm. Every Christmas, the farm is transformed into a unique experience known as the Magic of Winter event, bringing the spirit of Christmas to life at Santa's Grotto as Santa and his cheerful elves create unforgettable memories for families year after year.
I've had the privilege of being their event photographer photographer for two consecutive years and my role was to capture the essence of this magical experience through candid portraits of families interacting with Santa and staged portraits at the end of each session, as well as lots of little detail shots.
This was a carefully crafted, fun experience where children and their families were greeted by one of Santa's elves and then led down a magical path to a wooden cabin decked out in festive decorations and twinkly lights. They chose Christmas accessories to wear, met Santa, listened to festive stories told by his elves, and then received a special gift at the end.
Magic of Foresters are dedicated to sustainable farming practices and offer a selection of premium-quality, freshly-cut Christmas trees, from traditional Norway Spruces to the more exotic Nordmann and Fraser Firs. Many of the families I photographed at the experience picked out their tree together and watched it being cut down for them - the perfect festive experience!
