Event Photography at The Shed for Chichester Community Development Trust
After recently moving to the Graylingwell area in Chichester, West Sussex, I've been enjoying getting to know my local community and doing some photography for the Chichester Community Development Trust (CCDT), an organisation who bring the community together by providing inspiration filled places.
I was recently asked to photograph an event to launch The Chichester Shed, the area's first newly built youth centre, funded by the Youth Investment Fund. Run by Chichester Community Development Trust, it offers a safe haven for young people to have fun, explore passions, and develop vital life and work skills.
Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Lucy Frazer came along to celebrate the occasion, engaging with young people and witnessing various activities such as skateboarding, DIY skills, music, gardening, and a well-being yoga workshop.
As a Chichester resident and event photographer, I love being able to engage with my local community and capture events like this.
