Alternative Fashion Photography with Shinkurose in Dorset

As a features writer and alternative fashion photographer for MyM Magazine, I often have the privilege of collaborating with incredibly creative individuals. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Emily Braz, the designer behind fashion brand Shinkurose, on a photoshoot and feature for the magazine.

Since Emily lives in Dorset and I was visiting the area, it was the perfect opportunity for us to get together and bring our creative visions to life. Emily wanted to showcase her latest collection, which included dresses and accessories skilfully handmade by her mother, who is a talented seamstress.

Emily's designs are heavily inspired by Japanese fashion with a Victorian flair, and this collection had a striking, dark aesthetic that needed a location to compliment but not distract from it. We chose the dramatic coastline and beach at Sandbanks as we both felt that the moody sky and sea would give us a dramatic backdrop that suited the clothing perfectly.

Working with Emily was a fantastic experience, and I'm excited to feature her stunning designs in the upcoming issue of MyM Magazine. If you're looking for fashion that's bold, dramatic, and utterly unique, be sure to check out Shinkurose.

If you're a fashion designer looking for a fashion photographer to help showcase your collection through creative, colourful photography, I'd love to work with you too. I'm now based in Chichester, West Sussex but I'm always happy to travel and cover the rest of West and East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Dorset and London too.
