Harpist Photography in Greenwich Park, London with Julia Mascetti

When singer and harpist Julia Mascetti reached out to me for a photoshoot, I was excited to collaborate with her to create a series of images for her website and promotional materials featuring her 6ft harp.

As a portrait photographer, planning a successful photoshoot sometimes involves considering lots of little details, and this was one of those occasions - it's not only about the creative side, the logistics are really important too sometimes as I always want to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible! I suggested the bandstand in Greenwich Park for the location. Not only did it seem like a fitting place for a music shoot, it also had a leafy background that wouldn't distract too much from Julia's beautiful harp, offered cover in case of rain and had a solid base to position her harp on. Shooting earlier in the morning meant the park was relatively quiet too!

After shooting with the harp we ventured out into the park to take some additional shots that had more of a fashion feel to them so that Julia had a variety for her portfolio.

Julia left me a lovely testimonial, saying, "Emily has the rare combination of genuine friendliness and a high level of professionalism that makes for an excellent photographer. She was understanding of the difficulties of shooting with a 6ft concert harp and delivered the images in record time".

If you're a musician or other creative looking for a portrait photographer to capture your passion through photos, I'd love to hear from you. I'm now based in Chichester, West Sussex but I'm always happy to travel and cover the rest of West and East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Dorset and London too.
